Hi, I’m Craig — the face behind The Southampton Handyman.
I have many years of hands-on experience working with landlords, letting agents, and homeowners across Southampton. Over that time, I’ve carried out everything from everyday repairs and maintenance to full property refreshes, helping keep homes safe, functional, and looking their best.
I’ve also set up countless Airbnb and short-term rental properties, preparing them to a high standard for guests. From furniture assembly and snag lists to general repairs and finishing touches, I understand what’s needed to get a property ready quickly and professionally.

Do you only cover certain areas?
I cover all towns and villages in Southampton. If you are outside this area but within Hampshire I am more than happy to talk about what you need and if I can help you.
Do you cover gardens as a handyman?
Yes, I do cover garden work as part of my handyman services. I’m fully equipped to handle everything from small residential gardens to larger estates, and I’ve successfully completed a wide range of garden projects in the past. Whatever the size of the job, I bring the same attention to detail and professionalism to ensure your outdoor space is well cared for.
Are there jobs you don’t do?
I can carry out most, if not all tasks in a property and have lots of experience. If I can’t help i.e. with gas then I can recommended someone I have personally used and can vouch for myself.
Can I get a quote?
Yes of course, In many cases, I can provide a quote from photos or a short video sent via WhatsApp, which helps keep things quick and convenient. If the job is more complex or not completely clear, I may need to arrange an initial visit to assess the work properly and ensure the quote is accurate. All quotes are completely free.
Do you work evenings or weekends?
I can work evenings and weekends if booked in advance with me. I do like to have some family time
How long will the job take?
Every job is different, so the time required will depend on the size and complexity of the work involved. Smaller tasks can often be completed within a matter of hours, while larger or more detailed projects may take longer. Once I’ve assessed the job, I’ll provide a clear and honest time frame before any work begins, and I always aim to complete jobs efficiently without compromising on quality.
Do I need to provide materials?
Not necessarily, I often pick up materials as this means less room for error when ordering and also ensuring the job can go ahead on the planned date. If you have the materials then I am more than happy to work with them as the responsibility with lie with you.
Do you clean up after the job?
Of course, I carry a large amount of cleaning equipment including wipes, sprays and a hoover as no one wants to be cleaning up after a tradesman has been in their property!
Will I need to be at home during the work?
Not necessarily, I am a trusted keyholder to over 25 properties and use key safes frequently. We can discuss what is best suited and how to gain entry when booking the job.
Do you offer advice or recommendations on improvements?
Yes most definitely. I am have a very keen eye for attention to detail and I am more than happy to offer a recommendation if required.
Can you help with urgent jobs?
Yes I can, I often have the odd space come up even for 30 mins or longer and can also offer evening work.
Do you provide regular maintenance services?
Yes I do, I already attend multiple properties on a routine basis to carry out both internal and external works and would be happy to discuss your requirements with me.
